While studying students have a lot of opportunity to go abroad, to widen their outlook, to enrich their backgrounds, to improve professionally, personally and of course culturally! They are: IREX and ACCELS programs to the United States. Work and Travel is very popular as well, but there are also some other programs, like Au – pair, Logo and DAAD. They are all to Germany.
In this issue we are going to give our readers all information about the Au – pair program in Germany.
There are German language courses in the Osh State University at the Faculty of World Languages in room 208. Exactly there Jumagul Faizullaevna Sarykbaeva, teacher of German language, prepares students to the program Au – pair. Jumagul Faizullaevna has been working as international partner of Au – pair agency in Osh for 4 years.
We decided to interview Jumagul Faizuleevna and she gladly agreed to help us to inform all students of Osh about this program.
The word “au-pair” is French word, which means job plus study. So, guys under age of 24 can apply and live in one German family, help them with their children and improve their language skills.
R: Hello, Jumagul Faizulaevna, we know that you helped most guys to apply Au-pair. And how many students have you already sent to Germany?
Jumagul Faizullaevna: I’ve sent more than 30 girls, if I’m not mistaken. Girls apply mostly!
R: What is the aim of this program?
Jumagul Faizullaevna: Yes, of course! It’s a language program, which gives the chance to many students to improve their German, even English. Students can travel around Europe, make cultural exchanging and of course earn some money, which is necessary as well. A student can develop personally and become more self – supporting. They will learn how to spend time. They will get impulse in order to learn more and more. Their world – outlook can also change. It’s good to learn how to keep the house in an excellent condition, to learn European way of upbringing and compare it with the Kyrgyz.
R: What are the requirements, the compulsory things for this program?
Jumagul Faizulaaevna: So, first Basic knowledge of German Language. To be specific, it is to get a certificate of Goethe Institute. In order to be a student one needs to be informed about the program.
R: Could you tell exactly duties of the girl as an Au-pair?
Jumagul Faizullaevna: The main is to live and help the family as an elder daughter and to look after the children 30 hours a week. And the important point is to attend the German language course.
R: How much costs the program totally?
Jumagul Faizullaevna: Totally 1000 or 1200 $.
R: Do you have some plans to broaden?
Jumagul Faizullaevna: Yes, I have some plans! I want to open my own Sprachshuhle (language school). I mean to have my own official agency in Osh! And the main aim of this to provide girls, who come back from this program, with a job!
